The Extralink Smart Life intelligent door and window sensor is a modern device that excels at detecting the opening and closing of doors and windows. The sensor connects to the Extralink multifunction gateway via the ZigBee protocol, allowing for the creation of smart home scenarios when added in the Tuya app. It features low energy consumption and a long battery life. Additionally, the sensor offers an anti-tampering function and a low voltage reminder.
The Extralink sensor detects the opening and closing of doors and windows by measuring the distance between the main and auxiliary modules. The auxiliary module is placed on the door or window, and when they are opened or closed, the sensor sends a signal to the Extralink Smart Home gateway, enabling the activation of other smart devices.
The application possibilities are wide. For example, you can set your home doorbell to automatically turn on when the sensor detects the opening of the door. Furthermore, sound and light alarms can be activated when the sensor detects the opening of a window, and a camera can start recording when the window is opened.
The door and window sensor connects to the Extralink Smart Life Multi-function Gateway via the Tuya app, making it safe, reliable, and compatible with other smart devices. The ZigBee protocol, with its low energy consumption, allows for the creation of a mesh network where each device can communicate with others, ensuring stability and full signal coverage.
Thanks to its low energy consumption, the Extralink sensor can operate for up to two years under normal usage, using two CR1632 batteries with a capacity of 140 mAh each. Additionally, the sensor features a sleep mode that minimizes energy consumption, as well as a low voltage reminder function that informs the user when battery replacement is necessary.
The anti-tampering function of the Extralink sensor prevents unauthorized removal or damage to the device. In the event of an attempted removal or destruction, the sensor sends an alarm signal to the Extralink multifunction gateway, which can activate other smart devices.
