The Mugen 6 Dual Fan Black Edition introduces a redesigned heatsink with a sleek black finish. The special e-coating ensures unrestricted cooling performance without compromise. For active cooling, two Wonder Tornado 120mm fans are used in a push-pull configuration, taking full advantage of the updated design features.
Keeping the height of 154mm the heatsink boasts a 45% increase in fin count. This arrangement with higher fin density achieves improved thermal conductivity. Like its predecessor the Mugen 6 features an asymmetrical design that avoids blocking the ram slots by slightly shifting the heatsink to the back and also away from the GPU. An improved soldering process guarantees a tighter bond between the six high quality nickel-plated copper heat pipes and the baseplate.
The Mugen 6 Dual Fan Black Edition includes two of the new Scythe Wonder Tornado 120mm fans working in a push-pull configuration. The fans feature a 9-blade vortex-type design and the reliable Sealed Precision Fluid Dynamic Bearing. The re-adjusted fan hub-to-blade ratio ensures excellent silent performance even while reaching the maximum speed of 2000 rpm. Rubberized pads covering the mounting holes have a decoupling effect and prevent the transmission of noise and vibrations to the case. Together these features result in fans which provide a powerful airflow while remaining remarkably quiet.
The easy-to-install H.P.M.S. V mounting system offers optimal contact pressure and compatibility to the latest CPU Sockets on the market including Intels LGA 1700 and AMDs AM5. A pre-assembled mounting bar with spring-loaded screws ensures balanced pressure distribution. During the installation process, the universal backplate is securely fixed to the mainboard by rubberized spacers, making the process considerably easier.
