The intermediate rings are combined as fiddleback between lens and camera and increase the distance between the lens and the sensor plane. It is equivalent to a much larger extension of the focusing mount. Effect: The magnification is increased, thereby also reduces the depth of field. A subject at close range is achieved from the background, isolated. These intermediate rings can be used with many, almost all, lenses. Most effective for close-ups are short focal lengths in the range of normal or short telephoto focal length.

Three Rings for more flexibility

The set consists of three intermediate rings in different sizes. These can be combined. This will give you with one and the same basic objective very different magnifications.
