M5Station-485 is a versatile industrial-level programmable embedded iot development kit powered by the Espressif ESP32 SOC. With its integrated Wi-Fi solution and dual-core low-power Xtensa® 32-bit LX6 microprocessor running at a main frequency of up to 240MHz, M5Station-485 offers powerful performance for a wide range of applications.
Equipped with 16M FLASH memory and a 240x135 1.14" full-color HD IPS display, the M5Station-485 provides a vibrant and intuitive HMI (Human-Machine Interface). The physical keypad, along with rich peripherals such as three programmable keys and seven programmable RGB LEDs, enhances the user experience and enables seamless interaction with the device.
The M5Station-485 offers multiple power supply options, including USB Type-C, PWR485, and an external battery (battery socket reserved on board). Its integrated high power density boost DC/DC converter, SCT12A0DHKR, ensures stable operation even in complex applications. This makes it an ideal choice for industrial control systems, intelligent buildings, multi-channel data acquisition nodes, and prototyping applications.
With a focus on power efficiency, the M5Station-485 incorporates a low-power sleep/wakeup function enabled by the integrated RTC BM8563. The device's port design features a six-way Grove expansion interface, with shared power and signal pins for Port A1/A2 and separate power and signal pins for Port B1/B2/C1/C2. It also includes a PWR485 interface (4-wire - VH3.96) and an RS485 interface for industrial communication. The USB Type-A port is dedicated for power supply output without signal pins.
The M5Station-485 offers a variety of mechanical design options, including DIN rail mounting, magnet attachment, wall mounting, screws, and ribbon attachments, ensuring flexibility for different installation requirements. In terms of programming development, the device supports the UIFlow graphical programming platform, scripting, and cloud push, making it easy to develop applications without the need for compilation. It is also fully compatible with popular development platforms like Arduino and ESP32-IDF, and supports FreeRTOS for efficient task management and program execution optimization.
