Simply insert a compatible ICY DOCK removable tray directly into the adapter and connect through USB4 for portable storage access, backup, validation, or high-speed data transfer workflows. Supporting up to 40Gbps bandwidth, the MB307U-1VB extends removable NVMe storage beyond the host system without reinstalling the SSD.

Optional M.2 NVMe to U.2 Conversion with EZConvert
The EZConvert MB705 series converts M.2 NVMe SSDs into a U.2 form factor with tool-less SSD installation. The MB705M2P-B uses a 9.5mm enclosure with a more substantial protective structure and an aluminum heatsink lid for enhanced passive cooling, while the MB705M4P-S features a slimmer 7mm full-metal design that is better suited for high-density U.2 systems.
