The InLine® HDMI Full HD KVM Extender over IP Transmitter is the transmitting unit of an HDMI KVM over IP system and is used to feed HDMI image signals and USB control signals into an IP-based network. The transmitter is connected directly to a computer, server or media player and transmits image and control signals to one or more receiver units. Monitors, USB keyboards and USB mice can be operated at remote workstations via connected receiver units. In addition, the transmitter supports the transmission of infrared control signals, allowing the connected HDMI signal source to be operated remotely.
Operation is only possible in conjunction with the InLine® HDMI KVM-over-IP receiver unit, item 57885L. The connection can be established as a direct point-to-point link or via a suitable network switch with Gigabit support. The transmitter is not intended for stand-alone use. In network operation, the transmitter can supply several receiver units simultaneously, all of which output the same image and control signal.
