The InLine® USB-A to SFP Gigabit Fiber network adapter is the ideal solution for professional network environments that rely on flexibility, reliability and compatibility. With its modular SFP port, different fiber optic transceivers (e.g. SX, LX) can be used – perfect for different ranges and infrastructures. The adapter supports network speeds of up to 1,000 Mb/s via the USB-A port and is therefore ideal for fast, stable connections with low latency.
The adapter scores particularly well in industrial applications, data centers or IT integration with functions such as IEEE802.3az for energy saving, flow control to prevent packet loss and QoS capability for prioritized data transmission. The integrated support for VLAN tagging and automatic detection of cable types also ensures easy integration into existing systems.
Thanks to the broad operating system support for Windows, macOS and Linux, the device can be used in a variety of ways - for example for temporary network connections, notebooks in service management or for permanent integration into rack solutions. The integrated on-chip buffer and the extensive offload functions reduce the load on the system and ensure loss-free data transfer, even under high load.
